General Session: “Fearless Leadership”

Carey Lohrenz knows what it takes to win in one of the highest pressure, extreme environments imaginable: in the cockpit at Mach 2. As the first female F-14 Tomcat Fighter Pilot in the U.S. Navy, having flown missions worldwide as a combat-mission-ready United States Navy pilot, Lohrenz is used to working in fast moving, dynamic environments, where inconsistent execution can generate catastrophic results.
The same challenges are found in business: markets change, customer needs evolve and if you do not adapt quickly your company is at risk. In her motivating and engaging keynote presentations, Carey shares her fascinating experiences operating in one of the world's most challenging environments - an aircraft carrier.

Registration Fee: $150 (includes green & cart fee, light AM snack and lunch). This fee will be collected when you register for the conference. Spaces are limited so register early.

Rentals: TaylorMade club rentals are available for $75 plus tax and includes 6 golf balls. You can pay for your rental clubs at the golf course or charge them to your hotel room.

Cancellation Policy
Substitutions can be made at any time. All cancellation requests for Summit 2023 must be in writing to NA_Events@sapiens.com. Full refunds minus a $200 administrative fee will be granted only on written requests received on or before Friday, September 1, 2023. No refunds will be granted after that date.

Canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your lodging reservation and must be handled directly with the hotel.

In the unlikely event the meeting is cancelled, Sapiens will refund the total registration fee. However, Sapiens will not be responsible for any travel, hotel accommodations, or other costs incurred.

General Session: “How AI is Transforming the Insurance Industry”

As every industry grapples with rapid technological change, the insurance industry is now at a crossroads where the opportunities outweigh the setbacks, and AI offers a critical path to creating simpler, more customer-centric journeys. Microsoft is at the forefront of this journey, with tools such as ChatGPT offering a classic example of how AI can work in practice. Anu Chawla, Director of ISV Partner Development at Microsoft's Global Partner Solution Division, will present strategies to unlock the future in this critical area of industry innovation. Anu leads a team of partner development professionals working with Microsoft's Global Financial Services ISV partners. Anu has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Missouri, Rolla.

General Session: “Drive Innovation from Vision to Reality” | Decision: “Ask the Analyst”

His expertise lies in insurance technology, operations, and finance. Eric has over 20 years of insurance industry, consulting, and software experience. Prior to Datos Insights, Eric served as Managing Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Tower Group Companies and VP at AIG, where he led the global internal consulting function; created the Insurance Strategy practice at Navigant Consulting; and led the insurance vertical for IBM big data and analytics. Most recently, he has focused on helping clients understand and implement cognitive analytics and information solutions. Eric holds an MBA in Finance from New York University and a B.A. from Binghamton University.

She has over 25 years of leadership experience in both IT and business operations at large national and regional commercial property and casualty carriers. She has led numerous core system implementations and IT transformation initiatives. She has extensive experience in business process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives focused on leveraging technology to create an exceptional teammate and customer experience. Prior to joining Datos Insights, she was Chief Risk Officer at FCCI, overseeing the Enterprise Risk Management program focused on business, technology, and emerging risk identification and mitigation. Carey holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a Finance Major from Bryant University and a MBA in International Business from Central Connecticut State University.

Keith Raymond, Principal Analyst in Celent's North American insurance practice
Life & Annuities:  Customer Panel Discussion

He has extensive industry experience and is a seasoned expert in large language models, artificial intelligence, operational process automation, business transformation, back-office systems & operations, and mergers & acquisitions for both property/casualty and life/health/annuities. His previous roles also include Vice President of Research and Consulting at Novarica, Practice Partner – Digital Success at MVP Advisory, CIO/COO of Futurity First Insurance Group; AVP of Distribution Systems and Field Technology for Mass Mutual; CIO of Trumbull Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Hartford Insurance Group; Head Principal Consultant for Life and Annuities in North America at HCL Technologies; and CIO of FPI, a software development and service company.
